The blade shows the elegant, narrow taper characteristic of Sakai-forged yanagi, designed for precision slicing of sashimi and delicate seafood. Likely forged in the post-war Showa era (1950s–1970s), it carries the Kunitoshi name, a line known for solid professional-grade working knives. The new handle brings modern durability and balance while allowing the vintage blade’s craftsmanship to stand out.
