Sukesada Deba
This 150 mm Deba is a vintage knife from Sukesada, a smith name with lineage dating back to the famous Bizen swordsmith families of the Muromachi period. While this particular blade was forged in the mid- to late-20th century, it carries the weight of that legacy in its craftsmanship. Hand-forged from carbon steel, the blade has been newly restored, professionally sharpened, and fitted with a custom oak wa-handle for strength and balance. Its stout, single-bevel geometry makes it ideal for filleting and breaking down fish, while also giving it the durability to handle tougher butchery tasks. A practical working tool and a piece of history, this Deba embodies the enduring tradition of Japanese smithing.
