Takemori Yanagiba
This 199mm yanagiba (柳刃包丁) comes out of Sakai’s old ecosystem of specialist makers—where forging, grinding, and finishing were crafts traded between workshops, and a knife’s reputation traveled through sharpeners and fishmongers more than through advertising. The 堺 stamp is the tell: this is a blade born from the same city that supplied generations of Osaka chefs with practical, maintainable tools built around routine sharpening.
